Company History

TrustTexas Bank was founded in 1921 in Cuero, Texas by local community leaders as the Cuero Building and Loan Association (later Cuero Federal Savings and Loan Association) to promote homeownership and provide a trusted community banking option. Over the decades it evolved with the times, converting to a state-chartered savings bank in 1998 under the name Cuero State Bank, S.S.B. and relocating its main office to its current Cuero location. As it expanded its products, services and geographic reach in Central Texas, the bank rebranded as TrustTexas Bank, S.S.B. in 2006 and restructured into a mutual holding company in 2007 to support sustained growth. Since then, TrustTexas Bank has steadily added branches across the region, including in Yorktown, Victoria, Kyle and New Braunfels, and today serves multiple Texas counties with six branch locations and continued community commitment. Along the way, it has also maintained its leadership focus and community involvement, celebrating milestones such as its 100th anniversary in 2021 while fostering long-term customer and employee relationships.
